The BTA conduct many varieties of competitions targeting different groups and abilities.  All competitions conducted by the BTA will adhere to the competition By-Laws as formulated by the BTA Pennant Committee.  The By Law's also incorporate the Tennis Australia's Code's of Conduct, as displayed below.

Any players/teams whom breach the BTA By Laws or Codes of Conduct may be liable for penalties.  These will be enforced by the various pennant committees.

2010/11 Premier League Rankings:

This season the Playing Committee have introduced a ranking system, whereby each Premier League team must nominate their players on the official team sheet in order of their player ranking. eg, Male 1, 2, 3, 4… etc . Players may play within 1 position of their team ranking, ie, #2 ranked player can play in the #1 spot or the #3 spot.

Ranking Criteria:

  • Teams must nominate one (1) #1 and one (1) #2 ranked players.

  • Teams may nominate up to two (2) #3 ranked players,

  • All other members to be ranked at #4.

  • In the event a team is missing their #1 and #2 player, the next highest ranked member must fill the #1 spot.

  • Once a player has played more than 3 matches with a team, a new ranking sheet must be submitted with that players details included.  Existing players are to be re-ranked at the discretion of the committee.
  • Emergency and non-listed players may play in any position, providing all other players meet their playing criteria.
