Covid - 19 Update
The Bendigo Tennis Association wishes to advise that all competitions will be suspended after the completion of play this Saturday 21st March.
The Association believes this is the best way to move forward in ensuring a conclusion to all competitions while ensuring we continue to follow the advice of health professionals and the relevant governing bodies.
In light of these changes, a 1-week finals system will be implemented as follows:
- Ladder position 1 V ladder position 2
- Ladder position 3 V ladder position 4
- All other teams not required as planned
The Association has reviewed all current Tennis Australia COVID-19 advice and we ask that all attendees read and abide by strict health and hygiene guidelines that have been published by Tennis Australia in order to see a completion this weekend:
Times, schedules and draws will be communicated to the relevant players throughout today.
If any team decides they wish not to play, we ask that you contact the centre as soon as possible to ensure other teams are notified.
As the COVID-19 pandemic is an evolving situation, we acknowledge that if official Government advice does change, competitions may be suspended at any stage and every effort will be made to notify all players at the earliest possible time.
The decision to cautiously proceed under these revised conditions has been discussed at length and we would like to thank you for your understanding during these unprecedented times and for your continued support throughout the season.
