Stage 3 Update

The Bendigo Tennis Association wishes to provide our valued members, affiliated clubs, players and the broader tennis community an update on the Bendigo Tennis Association (BTA) during the upcoming return to stage 3 restrictions.

As of Thursday, 6th August the BTA will operate the Fosterville Gold Tennis Centre in a substantially reduced format to play its role in minimising the risk and spread of COVID19.

The Association will make the following changes:

  • All competitions and social play will be suspended until further notice

  • Reduce court capacity at the Fosterville Gold Tennis Centre to a total of five courts in line with Tennis Victoria guidelines for regional Victoria

  • Restrict all court hire to singles only, with doubles only allowed within the same household.

  • Restrict all coaching lessons to a maximum of 2 participants

  • The Clubhouse and restrooms will close until further notice

  • The Healthy Serve Café will return to a takeaway format and operate Monday-Friday between the hours of 8.00am -1.00pm

  • The Fosterville Gold Function Centre will close until further notice

The BTA believe physical and mental wellbeing will play an important part in helping the community through this difficult time and entrust all members, players and the community to follow the guidelines and adhere to the rules.

More information relating to guidelines can be found at:

During this time, we will continue planning for the scheduled 2020/21 Summer season beginning 2nd October 2020.

We would like to thank all our members, players and the broader tennis community for their support over the last 4 months and the beginning of the 2020 winter season. While it did not last is was great seeing familiar faces around the facility again.

Finally, stay safe, stay home, look after yourself and your family and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in the not too distant future.
